At Combat Krav Maga SF, we believe every woman deserves to walk with confidence - not fear. Our Women’s Self Defense Program is designed to give you the mindset, skills, and tactical awareness to protect yourself in real-world situations. Unlike traditional martial arts or fitness-based classes, our training is practical, scenario-driven, and based on the same Krav Maga principles taught to military and law enforcement professionals worldwide.
We’re proud to be the only self-defense school in the Bay Area with a women’s program taught by a woman. Our lead instructor understands firsthand the realities women face - from street harassment to unwanted attention to the fear of being overpowered. She brings empathy, expertise, and experience to every session, creating a supportive environment where women can train hard, feel safe, and grow strong together.

De-escalation Techniques
We emphasize that the best fight is the one you never have to fight. De-escalation techniques are a cornerstone of our training teaching you how to recognize danger early, project confidence, and use verbal and nonverbal communication to defuse potential threats before they become physical.
You’ll learn how to set boundaries clearly, manage fear responses, and control your body language to deter aggression. These skills don’t just keep you safe - they help you move through the world with calm authority and confidence.

Our Women’s Self Defense Program focuses on practical Krav Maga - techniques that work in the real world, not just in a dojo. You’ll train to respond under stress, using instinctive movements that anyone can perform regardless of size or strength.
From breaking free of grabs and chokes to defending against surprise attacks, every drill is designed around realistic scenarios women may face. We focus on efficiency, speed, and survival - teaching you to neutralize threats quickly and create the opportunity to escape safely.
weapon defense
In our Women’s Self Defense Program, weapon defense is taught with one priority: get to safety. You’ll learn how to recognize and avoid weapon threats, create distance, and use movement and timing to reduce the likelihood of being targeted. When escape isn’t immediately possible, we teach simple, high-probability responses such as controlling the weapon-bearing limb, striking vulnerable targets, and using improvised defenses to create an opening to flee or seek help. Training emphasizes realistic drills, stress inoculation, and the legal/ethical principle of survival over heroics.
